Model Edie Campbell Covers Allure's Eye Guide for January!

Edie Campbell is on the cover of Allure‘s new January 2018 issue, which is an “Eye Guide” providing 100 best eye-makeup tips.

Here is what the 27-year-old English model had to share with the mag:

On recently speaking out about abuse in the modeling industry: “The conversation needed to open up beyond just Terry Richardson [the photographer accused of sexual harassment and exploitation]. I hope that it brings about a change. Fashion needs to be more open about the darker ways in which we operate.”

On visits with Granny: “My granny had this old-school dressing table with powder puffs and used to do me up in makeup. My mom would pick me up and be horrified: ‘You’ve turned my child into a pageant queen!’ Later, when I was a teenager, I used to do big, grungy, dark eyes, like I’d been punched in the face.”

On how smoky eyes beat dark lips: “I don’t like wearing lipstick on a night out. It smudges and you can’t kiss anyone. It’s a recipe for ‘home by 9 p.m.’”

On the impact of social media on modeling: “It has changed modeling in a really positive way. It enables you to direct the way in which you’re perceived by the public, and it gives you a certain agency over your character. It’s simultaneously incredibly superficial and a more truthful representation of the person. You have to use it in a positive way rather than it just being a kind of nothingness.”

Lupita Nyong'o Talks Her Love Life, 'Black Panther' & More with 'Vogue'

Lupita Nyong’o strikes a yoga pose on the cover of Vogue magazine’s January 2018 issue.

Here’s what the 34-year-old Black Panther star had to share with the mag:

On working out with the cast of Black Panther: Chadwick had a live drummer come in as we worked out, and it was so cool—it changes your sense of internal rhythm. My character fights with anything: guns, spears, ring blades, shoes, glass.”

On being pigeonholed as an actress: “I got such a head start in this industry that it is not in my best interest to look for struggle. That’s such a powerless place for me to think about: what is working against me. I don’t think of what I don’t have; I think of what I do, and use that to get the next thing. It’s a finite reservoir, so it’s important that I safeguard it with my life.”

On her love life: “You can ask, but you definitely won’t get an answer. There have been rumors and rumors and rumors about my love life. That’s the one area that I really like to hold close to my heart.”

On trying new things: “That’s why I like to try new things, like pole-dancing…I value not being good at things, because children are not good at things.”

FYI: Lupita is wearing a Dior jumpsuit and skirt, Pompellato earrings and Tacori rings on the cover.

Jaimie Alexander Talks Being a Strong Woman in 'Schon' Mag

Jaimie Alexander is featured in a super cool new photo shoot for Schon magazine‘s latest issue.

The Blindspot actress also opened up to the mag and we have some highlights from the interview here:

On playing strong female characters: “[It's important to] remain a strong female whilst embodying these characters. I’ve always been a strong woman. I’ve always tried to do the right thing and to help others. It’s important I don’t lose sight of what really matters. I bring that into the characters I play – the sadness, the struggle, the vulnerability, the power, the realism.”

On taking on a beloved Marvel role in Thor: “It’s ridiculous to place pressure on yourself to try and please millions of people who are all different from one another. I find most artists suffer because of that unattainable perfection. So, I just try to enjoy what I’m doing and have fun. You have to trust your instincts.”

Armie Hammer Wants to Clear Up Misconception About Growing Up in a Wealthy Family

Armie Hammer is looking so suave in this new feature from Mr Porter!

Here’s what the 31-year-old actor had to share:

On why his mom might not see Call Me By Your Name: “It’s always awkward to say, ‘Come to this movie where you can see my ass and watch me give a blow job.’ My mum is more conservative. I don’t know if she’ll see it.”

On his decision to avoid big budget movies: “I made a decision to back out of the whole studio system a few years ago=. It was a machination of people just trying to make money, as opposed to making art. When you are studying acting, they talk about the way a movie can impact you as a performer, and I never really found that to be the case [with big-budget movies]. They were great to make and I had the best experiences of my life. But with Call Me By Your Name, I was pushed. I’m the one who has got to do it, working a 16-hour day, doing it all over again the next day. There has got to be something in it for me; it’s my life. I’d love to do a huge movie and be able to have a huge house, but at the end of the day, I know I sleep better at night, and I feel better in myself if I am doing a project that I am passionate about.”

On growing up in a wealthy family: “There is that misconception that, ‘Oh, you grew up in a wealthy family so you must have got it easier.’ I probably had opportunities that other people didn’t have. But I guarantee that other people didn’t have [parents] beating into their skull that they were the ‘representation of the family’. That was not the easiest pill to swallow. People might look at me and think my life is so perfect, but everybody wrestles with the same demons.”

Sophie Turner in 'X-Men: Dark Phoenix' - First Look Photo!

Here’s your first look at Sophie Turner encapsulated in fire for Fox’s X-Men: Dark Phoenix!

Sophie will still be portraying her X-Men character of Jean Grey, who showed off her power in 2016′s Apocalypse. It was confirmed then that the movies would be following “The Dark Phoenix Saga” story line from the comics.

“[The film] was so clear in my head, emotionally and visually, that it would have killed me to hand this to somebody else to direct,” director Simon Kinberg told the magazine.

The movie, which also stars Jennifer Lawrence, Jessica Chastain, James McAvoy, and more, will hit theaters on November 2, 2018.

Jessica Alba Shares Her Secret to Success

Jessica Alba is on the cover of Good Housekeeping‘s January 2018 issue!

Here’s what the 36-year-old pregnant actress had to share with the mag:

On her secret to success: “Nothing is easy. If it’s easy, you should worry. You have to fail a few times to find out what the best path forward is. It’s part of learning.”

On how acting prepared Jessica for the business world: “I’m competitive. Being in acting, you [learn to] persevere. ‘You don’t think a woman of color can be a leading lady? Let me show you.’ The constant rejection in acting prepares you for just about anything, but certainly for business. When people tell me something can’t be done, I see a challenge. Just because it hasn’t been done doesn’t mean it can’t be. I just have to figure it out.”

On balancing motherhood with work: “I feared I would lose my sense of self in becoming a mom, but it’s actually made me more true to who I am. It’s good for my girls to see that I have an opinion…hopefully some of what I’m doing will rub off on them. It’s hard, because they’re growing up with more privilege than I had.”

Jennifer Lawrence Names 3 People She Wants to Have Dinner With & She's Not Proud of It!

Jennifer Lawrence gets her close up on THR‘s Women in Hollywood issue.

Here’s what the 27-year-old actress had to share with the mag – she was interviewed by Oprah Winfrey:

On Harvey Weinstein: “We’ve all worked with him, but everybody needed a moment. Just speaking for myself, I had known him since I was 20, and he had only ever been nice to me — except for the moments that he wasn’t, and then I called him an asshole, and we moved on. He was paternal to me. So I needed a moment to process everything because I thought I knew this guy, and then he’s being accused of rape. We all knew he was a dog, we knew that he was a…tough guy, a brute, a tough guy to negotiate with. I didn’t know that he was a rapist. And it’s so widespread, the abuse, from so many different people — it’s directors, it’s producers — that I think everybody needed to [process it]. Everybody needs to deal with this in their own way; everybody needs to heal.”

On if she wants to meet Trump: “I think so. I’ve got a pretty good speech. And it ends with a martini to the face. (Laughter.) I have something to say for all of them. I watch different characters on the news, and I’m like, ‘You just wait.’”

On three people she’d like to have dinner with:Scott Disick [from Keeping Up With the Kardashians], Luann from Real Housewives of New York, Bethenny Frankel. And I’m not proud of that, but that’s what comes from my heart.”
