Miranda Lambert on Male vs Female Country Radio Play: 'It's B.S.'

Miranda Lambert is on the cover of Redbook magazine’s November 2017 issue, on newsstands October 24!

Here’s what the country star had to share with the mag:

On her ideal evening: “Shark Tank and yoga pants, and I’m the happiest person. I watch Tiny House Nation on a Friday night, and I’m like, ‘This is it! Frozen pizza. Woo!’”

On the disparity of male vs female country singers on the radio: “It’s B.S., straight up! Carrie Underwood still struggles, and that just blows my mind because she’s got a million hits and she’s Carrie Freakin’ Underwood. I tell them at the radio stations, ‘Just play one of us; it doesn’t have to be me. Then we all win.’ I’ll fight for it until I can’t no more.”

On fame: “I’m not actually a very good famous person at all. I hate cameras. I don’t love the spotlight. It was a big shocker to me that the music business is 80% business and 20% music. I was like, ‘I didn’t know I signed up for all this other stuff.’”

Kerry Washington Reveals How She Deals with Today's Politics

Kerry Washington looks fresh faced and beautiful on the cover of Allure‘s November 2017 issue.

Here’s what the 40-year-old Scandal star had to share with the mag:

On people thinking she’s Olivia Pope being able to “handle it” in real life: “It happens All. The. Time. I mean, part of it is because they know I can connect them to Judy Smith, [the crisis manager] who the role is based on. But people call me to say, ‘I have this problem. Can I talk to you about it?’ And I’m like, ‘I don’t even want to know! Just skip over me!’ But I know secrets.”

On how she handles this political landscape: “I have to dip in and dip out, because it suffocates me. Like, I become unable to function. So it’s a tricky balance between staying aware and also staying connected to a sense of hope and productivity and showing up for life.”

On her beauty indulgence: “Massages. I love them because they fall in that in-between for me: half beauty, half wellness. It’s something I do because I’m in heels a lot and I work really long hours. And I have a lot of pressures in my life. So massages are a good way for me to maintain my health and wellness, but also I feel like I’m doing something indulgent. And I’m a deep-tissue girl. I ask for the strongest massage therapist. Unravel me. Get in there.”

Ashley Graham Reveals How Her Faith Affects Her Career Decisions

Ashley Graham looks sexy and carefree on the cover of Elle UK‘s November 2017 issue, on newsstands tomorrow.

Here’s what the 29-year-old model had to share with the mag:

On whether her faith affects her career decisions: “When I’m shooting lingerie or Sports Illustrated, I’m aware that my pastor follows me on Instagram. You should be the same person from the moment you wake up to when you go to bed.”

On the importance of her religious beliefs: “I come from a Christian background, and when I moved to New York, I got away from God. Then I realized that living here, you need something to keep you grounded or you’ll go crazy.”

On whether she has always been body confident: “I have, yes. My problem though, was I kept getting bigger because I wasn’t taking care of my body. I wasn’t working out. I was eating whatever because I was in this category – ‘plus size’ – and it got out of control. I started hating my body, but I never hid it with clothing because I always felt sexy inside. The moment that I started respecting myself, my clothes changed.”

Kathryn Hahn Shares Mag Cover with Movie Mom Susan Sarandon

Kathryn Hahn and Susan Sarandon indulge in some sweets while posing for the cover of Good Housekeeping‘s November 2017 issue, on newsstands October 17.

Here is what the A Bad Moms Christmas co-stars had to share with the mag:

Kathryn on her happy-life parenting secret: “I found my tribe of moms who have the same philosophy as I do of not taking myself too seriously. We have a thing we say: ‘Unsubscribe!’ If there is any noise coming at us, we just unsubscribe.”

Kathryn on the best mom-to-mom advice she’s received: “I remember hearing the saying ‘The days are long, but the years are short’ a lot. It’s true, when you’re in young parenthood…I would dread the night. But it also goes by so freakin’ fast — it’s like instant nostalgia, being a parent. I remember looking at 3-to-6-month onesies and thinking, Oh, she’ll never be in those, and now my daughter uses them for her dolls.”

Susan on the worst mom-to-mom advice she’s received: “I think it was ‘Don’t have the baby,’ as though it would ruin my career, and I was so old anyway. I had my first baby at 39 and my third at 45, and with each child, [people were] like, ‘Are you crazy? Don’t!’”

Henry Cavill's Dog Kal Makes Cameo in 'The Rake' Shoot!

Henry Cavill gives his dog Kal a scratch on the head in this photo for his cover shoot for The Rake magazine’s October 2017 issue.

Here is what the 34-year-old actor had to share with the mag:

On having pride as a Brit: “My parents raised me and all my brothers as British, very British. My mother is Scottish and Irish, and my father is English. It has always been a matter of being proud to be British. It isn’t about turning your nose up at the rest of the world, it’s just that we are an island that, despite all the odds, managed to survive all the other empires of history and became the largest empire itself, and has still survived to be a world power. I think my parents just bred it into me to be proud, and I am.”

On the moments that changed his life: “There are a few events in my life that I felt like, when I was experiencing them, my life was going to change for ever. The first was The Count of Monte Cristo, second was getting Superman, the third was getting Kal.”

On dressing up: “I always liked suits, I like to look smart. My parents would dress us up for occasions, and we’d have blazers. Being in public school, you had to dress smartly, and I liked it. My enjoyment of style has taken a while to develop because I haven’t really known what I wanted. As soon as I wore my first bespoke suit I thought, ‘Oh, O.K., this is what it is supposed to look like’.”

FYI: Henry‘s dog was named after the real name of his Superman character, Kal-El!
